Americans Don't Trust the "Experts"

Gee, I can’t imagine why.  You mean someone might not trust Hank Paulson on the economy?  Only sheer perversity can account for this!  Slate’s Jacob Weisberg is appalled that Americans won’t just shut up and do as their overlords tell them.  Here’s my reply.

    Sir, I see you have been reading my blog. I should warn you that this is dangerous to your health. It may cause uncontrollable sarcasm, passive/aggressive behavior, and a general distaste for authority.

    Fortunately, I am below the age of 35 by one year, so I fall outside the category of middle-aged white men angry about the expansion of government and hostile to societal change.

    Unfortunately, I fall directly into the category of GQ dressed, incredibly good looking, highly intelligent, and single, young white men angry about the expansion of government and hostile to societal change.

    Weisberg’s blatant disregard for my category is highly upsetting to me. I have toiled endlessly on my blog and various internet forums for years spreading the message of anarcho-capitalism. I feel I deserve just recognition for my efforts.

    I have sent a letter to the editor demanding he mock my work publicly. Weisberg’s lack of mocking me has irreparably damaged my street cred and I demand satisfaction.

    I just had a fantastic laugh as I read this. Throughout the article were sprinkled the Amazon ads, linking to Tom’s books, such as Nullification, Meltdown, PIG American History, How the Catholic Church Built Western Civilization, The Church Confront Modernity….and then, my favorite….
