Australian Senate Seat a Road to Freedom for Assange?

Julian Assange, known as the founder of WikiLeaks, is pursuing a run for the Australian Senate, noting that a win there would likely end the international standoff in which he is involved, since the U.S. would not want to create a diplomatic crisis with Australia. “The US Department of Justice won’t want to spark an international diplomatic row,” he said. “It will drop its grand jury espionage investigation. The Cameron government will follow suit.”

It’s hard to think of Eric Holder and write “Justice” without breaking out into laughter.

I don’t know. Somehow I don’t think a group of thugs that would start wars, torture, detain without due process, and kill children with drones would give much thought to sparking a diplomatic row.

Assange exposed the corruption and war crimes of the regime. They are going to do whatever it takes to put him in a government cage for making them look bad.

Exactly what I thought right off the bat. Nothing is going to stop those criminals.

I once heard assange say that his father once told him that men of morals and character dont make victims out of the innocent. I dont understand the fear people have of this man. He’s such a hero. Justice and peace is not served by secrecy and violence. I have such admiration of his courage.
