From the ‘You Can’t Make This Stuff Up’ Dept.

Romney’s people think Tim Pawlenty would make a good VP nominee. This would allow them the retort, “See, there is too someone more boring and uninspiring than Mitt.” (Thanks to Lew Rockwell for the link.)

Unlearn the Propaganda!

He is certainly catering to the typical American worship of mediocrity at best, pure evil at worst.

Strategically speaking, two governors on the same ticket is not good. There needs to be someone with congressional experience to balance it out. (My prediction is Rick Sanitorium.)

But regardless who the VP nominee will be, there is little chance that Willard Romney will beat Barack  Obomber. Of course, were Ron Paul the Republican, he would beat Obomber.

But Ron Paul will not be the nominee. Why Dr. Paul continues with that one half of the Government Party I’ll never know. I think he should get out of the GOP and run on a third-party ticket. The convention in Tampa will be nothing but trouble for libertarians and Paulians. That’s just not going to be an effective way for Ron Paul to “make waves,” as would his running against the Establishment as a third-party candidate. THAT will make waves. We need someone to really make waves and disrupt the whole election (in that peaceful, electoral way, of course).

As for Tim, he’s got Pawlenty a-nuttin’ !!

Aren’t VP candidates supposed to inspire the base to volunteer and donate money?  As a Minnesotan, I assure you Tim Pawlenty will do none of those things.  He’s about as milquetoast as anybody on the planet.

There seems to be a spate of articles lately about Romney’s VP candidate lately.  It seems as if  there is a VP candidate du jour.

One also mentioned frequently is Senator Marco Rubio.  I mention his name because his candidacy raises the issue of constitutional eligibility.

Senator Rubio is not a natural born citizen as established by Chief Justice Waite in Minor v. Happersett.  His parents were not U.S. citizens at the time he was born.  There are currently court challenges to Obama’s eligibility, but it seems none of them is going anywhere.

Tom, as far as I know you have not discussed the issue of eligibility.  I would be interested to know your take on this issue.

Pawlenty? When I see that guy all I can think of is an automaton. I guess many Repubs aren’t  ready for Rand Paul

  • The Libertybelle

Well, that’s settles it, if he’s got Pawlenty as VP, I’m all in…
    …NOT!
