How Political Campaigns Work

Unlearn the Propaganda!

Wish my parents could realize this cartoon is talking about them.

I love sentences that mean two things. Here’s one: I feel like number two.

  • Average

So, if we just average out two wrong answers, we’ll get the right answer.

This cartoon is wrong because it implies the solution to our problems is in the political center; it’s not.

It could be taken that way, but doesn’t have to be. I take it in a Menckenesque way: the liars and propagandists dominate, and the one truth teller is intimidated into silence.

Its really sad that so few bother to actually do the math…

Actually, under Boolean algebra the Republicans are right. The Democrats are wrong under any established system of logic or arithmetic I’m aware of. Deep. :-p

It seems something like that must be happening, since Obama has gotten away with an outrageous lie for months that he will pay down the debt (rather than as his own budget document projects, add $900 billion to it each year (in reality of course likely more)). The GOP mostly protested in 1 radio address the media ignored, which neglected to mention there was no need to trust GOP numbers. its an unquestionable lie according to his own figures.

An amusing 1 minute cartoon and mashup of his own words:
