Man Dies After Roach-Eating Contest

A 32-year-old man collapsed after eating dozens of roaches and worms, says the sheriff’s office of Broward County, Florida. I’m genuinely not making fun of the guy, but you really shouldn’t do this.

Unlearn the Propaganda!

  • Josh Arizona

    You know what this means?

We need a federal bureaucracy that regulates the consumption of worms and cockroaches!

If only we had a law to protect this man from himself!

If only we had more government, this man would be alive today!

    /Sarcasm

I may be joking, but sadly there are a lot of people who actually think like this.

Back in the day, I’ve eaten my share of roaches. But only to hide the evidence.

It’s a new primal diet fad.

    Had to be in Florida!

  • nedster7

Tragic. I wonder what was the direct cause of his death.

First prize, a python. Stay classy, Florida!

Ironically, this proves why we need the FDA and govermental regulation of food and drink in general. When left to his own devices, the commoners lack the abiltiy to differentiate bugs and worms from healthy foods like tofu, that veggie thing Michelle Obama likes, and meats raised ONLY in environments where the animals are healthy, smiling, and possessing high amounts of self-esteem. This is a REAL-LIFE example of my facts, unlike the utopia that Libertarians have to trot out to show how their ideal society would work.
Don’t tell me about the death and general harm the FDA causes by making overly conservative errors (like delaying the selling of life-saving drugs for a full decade). If you do so, you are by deafult admitting you are a puppet of the corporatism culture that pervades our society and ruins our ability to care for one another.

I have to say as a regular visitor to Tom’s blog here I am disappointed that he would run this irrelevant tabloid offal. I thought Tom was better than the corporate media

Need the FDA to differentiate bugs from healthy foods? You’re kidding right? I’m sorry but the majority of the public wouldn’t even conceive of doing anything like this. Stop drinking Gov’t kool aid.

  • http://www.TomWoods.com Tom Woods

I can’t just run an off-the-wall item once in a while? Sheesh.

  • http://www.TomWoods.com Tom Woods

I thought it was pretty obvious he was kidding. People would have a hard time telling a roach from tofu? Turn on your sarcasm meter.

  • zxthed

Oh. I’ve read sillier arguments and such from people being serious, so for me it seemed like an actual mindless left post lol
