Marco Rubio: The Guy GOPers Love

Here’s a sample of the eloquent and thoughtful Rubio (that’s sarcasm, fyi), with thanks to John Baeza.

Unlearn the Propaganda!

He had an ok start, but then he had to say that we invade other nations to fight for their freedoms. /facepalm

  • Libertylover501

The first 30 seconds of the video is fine. Then Rubio opens his mouth and spews forth the vomit. Does this really surprise you?

I couldn’t get past, “We can’t build roads for ourselves.”

  • Metaldams1978

I think I need to quote somebody more intellectual than Rubio to share my feeling on his response.

“What a maroon.” – Bugs Bunny

Rubio’s statement that the government is there to “do for us what we can’t do for ourselves” is vague and lends itself to potential government expansion in virtually all capacities. Progressives could say this very same thing to use as justification of all sorts of power encroachments by the feds. Take President Obama’s minimum wage ridiculousness. All of those Democrats who applauded him could say “the government has to provide a $9.00 an hour salary to people who can’t obtain one themselves.” Of course this is an asinine argument. But sadly, it could be justified using the language that Rubio espouses.

    Exactly what I felt.

I hadn’t heard him speak before. Thanks for this, Mr. Woods, this was all I needed to hear.

There are plenty of things not to like about him and what he’s saying here … but if you can make it to the end, I thought that he (compared to his many other Republican colleagues) does a really good job speaking to the concept of the tenth amendment and the sovereignty of the states. This isn’t far off from what I’ve learned here from you Tom. Your thoughts on that?

That the GOP would hitch their wagon to this “star” is proof they are DOA.
