In reading your book ("Meltdown"), a simple analogy that comes to mind regarding how the government has been treating the financial situation is like a doctor treating his patient who is suffering pain from a serious illness with a temporary relief for the pain but does not treat the cause.

This book is one of the most important books written that addresses our current economic situation. Authors such as Hazlitt, Rothbard and Bastiat will never be out of step with regard to economics because their works are rational and hold absolute truths from which one can generalize. However, Dr. Woods' book incorporates the underlying foundation of Mises' economics while addressing, rather, pinpointing the exact nature of the true cause and effect regarding our present crisis. I have given the book to everyone I know to be both intellectually curious and intellectually honest. I have even sent it to a few managing directors that I know experienced the Wall Street fiasco firsthand. Hopefully they will welcome the truth. Thank you Dr. Woods for enlightening us.

I wonder what would happen if every congressperson had a copy of this book. Would they read it? We need to change our national discussion.

Great book. It is unfortunate that common sense seems to be so uncommon.

Anyone with an open mind who reads this book will not so much be "convinced" as s/he will experience the fog of obfuscation and confusion lifting, the veils of illusion falling away and a clear focus and clarity emerging like the sun! You might exclaim some version of "Eureka" or "Of course"! Whatever your inevitable exclamation, it is also your own inner cry to action meant to be carried out into our present oppressive and enervating socio-economic matrix as catalyst for real change. Tom Woods is doing his part to elucidate truth for all of us. So, in gratitude, let's do what we can for freedom's sake.
