More NDAA Nullification

On December 5 the Williamsport (Pennsylvania) Tea Party is holding a meeting on nullifying the indefinite-detention provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act. If you’re in the area, please attend.

Here’s my resource page on Nullification and the NDAA.

Although a resolution of nullification is certainly plausible, how can Pennsylvania actually nullify this provision?

I’m not trying to be a nay-sayer, having this on the books could help establish precedent and awareness for both nullification and the NDAA.

However, if the goal is for Pennsylvania to revoke the President’s power, something more meaningful must be resolved. Something to the effect of withholding tax money, or arresting whichever agents are proscribed to enforce this provision (MP?). I don’t know, something. Yes, not realistic, not productive. But sometime in the future, when Nullification catches on, how do states assert this right beyond merely having it?

SC state senator Tom Davis is currently drafting a NDAA nullification bill. He is using much of the same language that is in Virginia’s bill.
