North’s First Law of Bureaucracy

“Some bureaucrat will eventually enforce the letter of the law to the point of absurdity.”

Case in point: this week a man was killed in a highway accident by a drunk driver. The blood from his injured body stained the highway. The state’s highway department sent a $50 blood-removal bill to the man’s grieving mother, plus the towing and storage expense for his car.

Unlearn the Propaganda!

  • 99guspuppet

Only $50    this is some kind of discount     seize the car for illegal parking….

  • Capn Mike

Well the 50 bucks was in ADDITION to the towing and storage.

    Aaah, Gummint…
The only ones who TRULY care!!!

Y’all ain’t got nothing. My brother received a bill for a body bag for his 5year old son who was murdered in a home invasion in a state 500 miles away. And that’s just a small part of it. The state has to bill someone you know. Yes, I still can’t get over it.

This is horrific. With things like this happening, I wonder when the Red Guard will be fully operational to launch “Year Zero.” Will they attempt to maim or eliminate moral and educated people who are increasingly resistant?

  • Luke Sunderland

    Good grief!

This is like the stories from Communist China about dissidents getting executed, with a shot to the back of the head, and their families being billed for the bullet.

I thought that was the *definition* of a bureaucrat.
