Now I Want to Debate Krugman

Like every other establishment left-liberal, Paul Krugman thinks the idea of state nullification of unconstitutional laws is so self-evidently stupid that he doesn’t even need to offer an argument against it.

Well, I’ve listed — and then refuted — a whole bunch of arguments against it.

Unlearn the Propaganda!

  • StandardConny

Read Krugman’s VERY brief comment and follow the link to the story about Cruz:

    http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2012/07/31/619461/five-things-to-know-about-gop-senate-candidate-ted-cruz/

As you read the 5 things about Cruz (UN treaties, Social Security, Nullification and the Supremacy clause, Sharia law, illegal immigration), notice how amazingly biased and misleading each issue is handled. It’s really jaw-dropping to see the level of distortion and deception used in each issue. There is not a shred of intellectual honesty in the article. And, the commenters agree!

This is what Krugman and his pseudo-intellectual ilk are reading, writing and thinking ALL THE TIME! It’s a great lesson in how hopeless it is to engage these people in honest debate. You WILL NOT make any headway against someone who is this biased. Sadly, this represents the bulk of the people in the D or R parties today on almost any issue. It just an “Us vs. Them” country today.

Honest, independent thinkers are VERY rare and stand almost no chance in the mainstream of politics and media today.

  • George

The idea of debate is to present arguments and let the now informed observer form their own conclusion. Just imagine the lightbulbs going on in the heads off Krugman zombies when they watch him flounder and give repeated non arguments. I’d pay to see that debate.

  • Ken

Krugman is not the light-bearing genius the media portrays him to be, but he is smart enough to pick his fights. He’s not going to debate you.

    juicy!

Ok, I couldn’t hold back on this one. Column hammering on our buddy Ian, Krugman, and all of thinkprogress coming out a little after 7pm Pacific tonight.

Thanks for blogging this, Tom. I wouldn’t have found it otherwise!

  • StandardConny

That’s my point… Sadly, Krugman Zombies will imagine he kicked Murphy’s hind end no matter how pathetic Krugman’s performance and no matter how compelling Murphy’s logic.

I don’t know… you used the word “thinks” to follow the words “Paul Krugman”… I’m not sure you’re off to a very good start! ;-)

“It’s a great lesson in how hopeless it is to engage these people in honest debate.” Right. There’s no point. Krugman has one job and he knows it well which is to give intellectual cover to the atrocities committed by the government. I don’t see much difference between him and Keynes in that respect. He really is a vile little man…

Witness the complete mis-reading of the “debate” with Ron Paul

Happy Birthday Tom. A debate would make a nice present.

  • The Libertybelle

PSSST…happy birthday, Tom. Keep on doing what you do, we all appreciate you to the max!

Seems like everyone wants a whack a Krugman, which led me to an idea: Paul Krugman pinatas. Now anyone can smash Krugman!

  • Sarah

Tom: just wondering if you could comment on how the Supreme Court’s decision on the healthcare act (upholding its constitutionality as a “tax”) will affect a state’s attempt to employ nullification against the heatlthcare act.

  • http://www.TomWoods.com Tom Woods

I think nullification is borderline impossible to use against it. If the IRS docks your income tax return, doesn’t that bypass the states altogether?

  • Ron

“I pity the FOOL”. The shill Krugman treads water as fast as he can to protect his job. What a sad little man, tasked with blowing smoke up the Emporer’s new suit of clothes.
