Ron Paul Drives Past Sign Wave on Way to Debate

Notice there’s no evidence of anyone holding signs for the fakes.

Unlearn the Propaganda!

Great video, Tom! Very inspiring, and adds to the mountain of evidence that the Liberty movement is catching fire all over the country. Too bad that we’ll never see anything like this on any mainstream outlets.

As I’m typing this, I’m also listening to someone on am radio that I can normally only stomach for very short periods, but I’m forcing myself to listen tonight. So for 45 minutes and counting, Mark Levin has been alternately trashing the good Dr. for running interference for the Romney campaign, alleging a deal has been made for Rand to get the VP slot, and positing that Dr. Pauls’ so called ‘guru’, Murray Rothbard, was an evil genius the likes of which the world has never seen. I kid you not, this guy is looney tunes, and he also likened the Mises Institute to “Dave Koreshs’ gang”. It appears that he’s pulling out all the stops tonight, for sure!

This is sickening Tom, please stick it to this slimeball as only you can!

I was there and it was awesome. To be fair, the reason you don’t see any of the other candidate’s signs is because we were told where Ron Paul would be driving up and it ended about a block away from the event. So all of us walked a few blocks down the road and lined one side of the street, away from the rest of the event.

That said, back at the debate location, I saw a group of about 6 or 7 Santorum supporters with signs, one or two with Gingrich signs, and one or two with Romney T-shirts. Whereas we had 100s of people (as you can see in the video).

Also, outside of the debate there was a large screen and a “party” for about 300 people to watch the debate. Almost all of us Ron Paul supporters had a debate-watching event planned at a church a few blocks away. That church was packed and one of the church guys there said he would guess there was about 2000+ people there. It was amazing.

The blonde girl at 2:46 was like “I touched him.  I touched him.”

Paul is getting popular.   FINALLY.  He cleaned up in that debate to boot.

The “fakes” don’t need sign waivers, they know the Republican establishment has already stolen the election with their fraudulent voting systems.

Way to win supporters.   Act like a  tin foil hat conspiracist.   And Tom can join in and call the other candidates “fakes”.  Yeah,  That’ll win hearts and minds.

“What?  You mean the guy I was thinking about voting for is a “fake” and I’m a fool for supporting him? “   Yeah, people always respond to that by joining you.

You guys don’t get it.   Ron Paul is above the fray, courtly, and you guys go and splash immature negativity all over him with this stuff.

I’m supposed to walk on eggshells on my own blog because of hypersensitive supporters of other candidates? Put a sock in it. What have you done for Ron, exactly, that you can lecture me or anyone on this blog?

I support Ron Paul because among other things, I like  having a clear conscience.

Hey Bruce, go crap on your own candidate’s parade!! Spread your POSITIVITY there!!

Mhh. I see a big contradiction in the paul camp. Everyone in the Paul camp basically says that all politicians are bad and corrupt and do bad things. And yet Paul is a politician. But no one in Paul camp says that Paul is bad. So either they are diluding themselves that Paul is a saint or what they say about politicians being all bad is false. I think all politicians are bad is true so most probably Paul camp is selfdilutional.

Also a much more intelligent observation is that the current political system is such that the president cannot help but make some very unpleasant decisions which will annoy a lot of people (public choice: the system is such that the politicians have incentives to do bad things….). So why on earth should Paul be any better than anyone else if he wins??? Especially considering Paul has always been on the edge of the political process where it is safe because he never really had to stick his neck out and actually get tested for effectiveness as a politician.

Paul’s camp is surely fuelled by faith in its dear leader, more so than other camps (Romney at least has a record of success as a businessman and Gary Johnson was a very effective small government governor).

There is no reason to be excited about Paul. The level of fanaticism in Paul camp is as strong as it was in the Obama camp in 2008. Support for a politician should never be fanatical but extremely conditional and sober.

Greg, the reason we support Ron Paul is that we pay attention to his voting record and we pay attention to the speeches he has given since August 1971 when he entered politics.  He is the only major political figure who has unwaveringly stuck to the US Constitution as the basis for every action and every word in public life.  At the time he entered politics, he had already delivered 4000 babies as an ob-gyn (one of whom might be someone you know), surely a major success outside of his later life in politics. It’s remarkable that you would characterize enthusiasm for such a decent person as “fanatical”.  Also, Greg, be aware that Ron Paul supporters are deeply indebted to this man for a much more social reason.  His candidacies have created a gathering place that allowed us all to find one another, and to know that we have a community of shared values that was highly fragmented before Ron Paul came along.  The creation of the Ron Paul community is his real achievement, and that community will still be committed to dismantling the warfare state and the welfare state long after Ron Paul himself steps away from politics.

There were probably 5 times as many people outside the debate in Tampa.  The media didn’t cover it at all.

Thank you so much dear friends in Arizona.  Your enthusiasm for our President caused us to tear up.  You are loved and appreciated.

The imagination running wild with enthusiasm, its awesome, its a great cause, its a Revolution Ron Paul 2012.

  • StandardConny

“There is no reason to be excited about Paul.”

You really don’t get it, Greg.  Ron Paul is the ONLY serious presidential candidate in my 55+ year LIFETIME who actually read and understood the Constitution.  He reminds people constantly that we are a constitutional republic and why that’s important.  That, alone, is enough to get excited about.

That is what is so great about Ron Paul: He will move the country in the direction where local governments and individuals will have more power to make the decisions. Want to use gold or dirt as money? Let the market sort it out. People love Ron Paul because he doesn’t seek power.  He is a youthful 76, but at his age, I doubt he is seeking power. This gentleman is going to come in and lawfully repeal as much as he can.  I don’t know how much a Paul presidency could accomplish in 4 years but I would bet a great deal that the attitude of millions more would change and personal responsibility would increase greatly.  I have studied Ron Paul and the Austrian School since 2007.  He is as honest as they come.  Human beings will never be perfect because that is clearly impossible.
