My YouTubes Will Now Be 12% Better

I just discovered a neat way to spruce up YouTubes.

Unlearn the Propaganda!

  • John

Not sure what’s better about it. The quality, both visually and sound, is worse compared to viewing the video on youtube itself and there is a plethora of annoying buttons that are distracting and useless.

  • http://twitter.com/MooseOfReason Jeff

You can’t opt for a higher video quality from this page and have to go to the video’s page on YouTube if you wanted to view it in 720p, or any other resolution.

  • Anonymous

It feels a bit crowded. I really like that the link to your page that further explains the topic of the video is embedded with the video itself, however the blue border just seems off. Maybe a more neutral color would make it easier on the eyes, although that could also make it seem like it wasn’t part of the embedded element. Don’t know if that’s good or bad.

The biggest problem I see with these buttons is that I’m so used to spam and honeypot commercial links that I avoid them by reflex.

  • Jack

    Ugh, ugly..

Tom, how did you calculate the 12% figure? What is your formula? Why not 11% or 13%, but exactly 12%?

  • Mike

Also missing buttons like “watch later.”

Go back to the standard player Tom, plus that one will last forever.. who knows about this?

  • George

Good try Tom :) at least you know your fans don’t pull any punches and therefore you’ve not deserved any till this digression

  • iamse7en

Don’t like it either. Kind of an eyesore.

  • Frank M

    But I liked his tie.

  • Michael

    The tie IS the 12%.

It’s like the Chevy Trailblazer. Full of useless plastic
trim. I love the shirt, though. Where do you get a nice red shirt like that? I’ve wanted one for years.
