US Executive: ‘Crazy’ French Unions Can Take a Hike

Maurice Taylor, who heads tire manufacturer Titan International, told the French government yesterday that his firm would not take over a money-losing Goodyear factory. “How stupid do you think we are?” he demanded.

I have visited that factory a couple of times. The French workforce gets paid high wages but only works for three hours. They get one hour for breaks and lunch, they talk for three and they work for three. I told this to the French union workers to their faces. They told me that’s the French way!

Unlearn the Propaganda!

Leave it to the socialists to rationalize getting paid 7 hrs for 3 hours of work. Who knows if that “labor” can even hold up to scrutiny

This is excellent news. The global financial mess/social decay are moving people back toward sanity; slowly, incrementally and imperfectly, but people are using their brains more than they were ten years ago, it seems.

The military furlough is also great news, but I won’t be happy until there are virtually no overseas military bases, no federal income tax, and no monopoly privileges on money. From there it really begins!

I don’t believe in slave labor or child labor, but I do know that countries and successful societies aren’t built on 3 hours of labor… There’s nothing wrong with being productive. The French… Well, they are selfish adult babies who want to play and sip wine more than anything.
