Woods Household Goes Primal: The Results After Two Weeks

Mark Sisson himself wrote the other day to find out how our experience on the Primal Blueprint was going. Over at her blog my wife describes our results after two weeks. Aren’t you curious?

Unlearn the Propaganda!

Awesome job! I’m a month in and 20lbs down (though my primary focus is weight loss). You guys have some great results, keep it up!

7lbs in 2 weeks? I’m jealous. It slows once you get down below 15%, but the great thing about primal (for me at least), is its easy to stay on for life. Please do it for at least a month. You won’t miss the carbs after that. If you like the results and decide to take it to the next level (below 12-15% bf), Mark prescribes carb cycling on the weekend to jump start your leptin and get you burning fat again. Great way to break a plateau when you’ve tried everything else. Your mind should feel more clear after insulin sensitivity develops. I have to admit though, the chubby Tom came across as more professorial.

Smart eating is the best investment that anyone can make. It is the antidote to Obama Care. Better than money in the bank. As long as you are healthy, you can always earn money.

I fully believe that 70% of our health care needs could be eliminated if everyone took care of themselves – proper diet, proper excercise, proper thinking.  The remaining health care costs would shrink, drastically, because government would not have an excuse to interfere.  Those who could not afford to pay their medical costs would be able to find charities to help because the demands would not be as great.  The economy would boom because of the additional productivity of the heatlthy people. And the FDA would lose power because there would be a reduced lobby revenue from pushing drugs.

Ron Paul is the only candidate who has proposals that would allow the freedom necessary to allow these changes to occur.

I started the Primal Diet and exercise routine back before Thanksgiving last year.  My daughter of 11 years recently saw me walk up the stairs with my shirt off and asked, “Daddy?  When did you get muscles on your stomach.”  Next to Ron Paul, Lew Rockwell, and Tom Woods, Mark Sisson has had one of the largest impacts on my life.  For this I am grateful and my wife finds me sexy again.

Well done, Tom! You are going to love this, I know. Very excited for you and the family.

    Hi Tom,

Don’t worry too much about the pizza cravings. The primal diet takes some time to ease into anyways. Apparently, the bacteria in the gut need time to adapt as well, so don’t go cold turkey on the pizza!!

I believe it is important to pay attention to taking good probiotics, fermented foods, etc. while starting out on your new diet. I found the following information very useful when starting out with paleo. (I experienced some trouble with cutting out all the bread suddenly)http://coolinginflammation.blogspot.com/search/label/gut%20florahttp://www.gaps.me/preview/?page_id=30

I’ve been doing the anti-fungal diet.  It seems to be working quite well, too.

Keep up the good work, you’ll be turning out twice the books with all the extra energy.
