Woods in Montana This Saturday

I’ll be visiting Montana for the first time this Saturday, making 45 states I have been to in my life.  The event, in Bozeman, will be covered by CSPAN for future airing.  Tickets (which include dinner) have to be purchased in advance.  If you know of any organizations or individuals who might be interested in attending, can you help me spread the word?  Thanks!

Which states haven’t you been to? I guess Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, Maine… and New Mexico.

I’ve been to New Mexico, and as someone who lived in Massachusetts for 21 years I have certainly been to Maine. You’re right about the other three, though. The remaining two are South Dakota and Wyoming.

A Lincoln Reagan Day dinner? Does this mean you’ve gone over to the other side? :)

Speaking as someone who grew up in South Dakota, you absolutely need to visit it. The vast stretches of nothing-ness will astound you!!

In all seriousness, the Black Hills area down near the Wyoming border is quite beautiful. Plus, you could knock out two more of your states with one stone.

    Tom,

Since you have predictably banned my landline Internet account for the ‘heinous’ act of posting Madison’s 1830′s quotes on the absurdity of nullification and since I cannot attend your speaking engagement in Montana, I would like to pose the following questions online:

    1) How can you in all seriousness cite your subjective and selective interpretation of the intent of Jefferson and Madison in supporting nullification when it is without question that neither of these statesmen would have supported this course of action under any circumstances to promote the end result of anarchism ?

    2) How can you in all seriousness support the balkanization of American civil and political society from Washington to individual states as increasing protections on private property when arguably the state governments are equally or more prone to abuses then the Federal government?

    3) How can you in all seriousness oppose the recent killing of Osama bin Laden as an example of Presidential overreach ?

I am eagerly awaiting your expected banning, censorship, ad hominems, fallacies, and misrepresentations.

Well I guess it could have been worse, they could have invited Thomas DiLorenzo

  • NeilBJ

I assume your post is in response to mine.  I got a good chuckle out of it.  Yes, I have read DiLorenzo’s book, “The Real Lincoln.”

I do hope Dr. Woods tells us what he talked about.  Did he ruffle any feathers by talking about the real Lincoln?

Soon you will visit all 57 states, just like Obama!
