You Want This Guitar

It’s being raffled off to raise funds for LibertyFest III in New York City. Head over to the LibertyFest site and win this thing!

Unlearn the Propaganda!

Bought some tickets. Last time I remember entering a raffle, it was in
middle school, and there were dozens of tables in the gymnasium with
things you could get. I ended up winning a loaf of banana bread and
    gift certificates to Dairy Queen.

I hope I win, but it won’t be for me. I have a different recipient in mind.

By the way, I couldn’t log in with Twitter to post my comment.

    OMG!!!
    What a sweet Ax!!!
I’ve built a couple of Strat wanna be’s in my time, but these guys are off the charts.
Proof’s in the pudding, tho. I would love to crank one up and play some crappy (hey, I know my limitations) but LOUD R+R on it to see if it sings.
A VERY pretty machine. It looks like these guys know their shit.
    OK, I’m in.

  • I wanna be the next Tom Woods

I don’t even play the guitar but I want it! I WANT IT!!!

  • Bill

Just to be sure… the winner doesn’t need to be present at the event to claim it, right? Wish I could be there but can’t make it. But I still want a shot at this sweet guitar.

For those who play guitar, here’s the basic specs.

Obviously, it is a Telecaster design, but it isn’t a Fender.
It has a 6061 aluminum body with semi-hollow chambering and triple-dipped chrome finish
It has a 1 piece 21 fret maple neck with C-shape and 7.25″ radius (my favorite neck type for a Tele, but a bit smaller radius)
The bridge is the old-style tele 3-barrel design and is string-through, the saddles are brass (awesome)
The bridge PU is an overwound hot alnico V single coil (probably won’t sound like the old-school teles)
The neck PU is an alnico V humbucker with a single/dual coil tap (great choice here)
    Standard 3 way Tele switching
    Volume
Tone (I’m not sure whether they used the old-school Tele circuit or the standard used today)
    All chrome hardware

All in all, it seems like a pretty sweet piece of gear. I currently have a 2003 Les Paul Standard Plus, a 1974 Electra Omega, and a 2010 Fender Blackout Telecaster (I have more instruments, but those are my electric guitars). By far my favorite to play is the Tele. There’s just no comparison. So, I really want this guitar.
