Young Americans for Liberty, New Jersey?

Some time ago a chapter of Young Americans for Liberty somewhere in New Jersey indicated some interest in having me speak in October. But when I went to track down the group’s contact info just now, I came up empty. (Normally I have an assistant who handles scheduling, but I was going to take care of this one myself.) I’m normally quite an organized person, so I’m annoyed at myself for having misplaced the info.

If you’re with the YAL chapter in question, can you please drop me a note? Thanks!

I believe there is a YAL chapter at Rutgers University in New Brunswick; unless the statist hierachy has forced them to disband (pure speculation on my part; but I don’t think far-fetched). It’s my alma mater, but YAL was formed after my stint there.

I stand corrected Tom. There doesn’t seem to be a chapter in New Brunswick, but a Rutgers affiliated chapter on the Camden, NJ campus. They can be contacted via Facebook.

I’m not with the YAL Chapter in question, but I do hope you come to New Jersey, Tom. That would be fantastic.

Dr. Woods, when you get in contact with them, maybe you could post a link or something to their webpage? I’m probably not the only New Jerseyite who’d like to join if they’re based in South Jersey

Tom, there are only 7 documented libertarians in New Jersey. It is known.

  • Frank M

Actually 6. I live in Texas now.

There is definitely a YAL and Rutgers Libertarians group at Rutgers New Brunswick. Both are active. There is also the Student Liberty Front at TCNJ, Princeton Libertarians at Princeton, YAL at Montclair, Ramapo, and Rutgers Camden. There groups at other schools also.
If anyone is looking to get in touch with the student liberty movement in NJ they can contact a Students For Liberty Campus Coordinator.

    Mr. Woods,

My name is Anthony Celi, of the Montclair State University division of Young Americans for Liberty. Thankfully, I came across this post, and now have the chance to speak with you directly. We were interested in having you speak at our campus at some point in this academic year (preferably October). We’re in the midst of scheduling events and figured it’d be best to reach out to you sooner rather than later. You can speak directly with our representative, Daniel Kosciuszko, at (973)-800-0007. You can also reach me by email at: Celia1@mail.montclair.edu
    Thank you.

Dear Mr. Woods, the YAL chapter at Montclair State University in New Jersey would be honored to have you come speak. We are the largest political organization on our campus of 18,000 students. We have planned many liberty events this coming semester and it would be an amazing honor to have you speak. I am the chapter adviser and you can contact me at (973) 800-0007 or email me at kosciuszkod1@mail.montclair.edu. Thank you.
